Sagitawa Friendship Society has provided a variety of programming that address needs and gaps within our community for over 56 years. We continue to provide referrals, services, supports, and programming to all people as a status blind organization.


Strengthening the Family Circle

Supports the learning of our community through the sharing of hands-on life lessons including Positive Communication, Healthy Relationships, Traditional Parenting, and more.

Building Better Babies

Building Better Babies is a no cost voluntary program providing prenatal and postnatal assistance.

Northern Indigenous Health Alliance

Support for people living with HIV, Hepatitis C, STIs, and STBBIs. Connection to traditional Indigenous ceremonies, medicines, Elders, and more.

Food Security

The Good Food Box is a program at the Sagitawa Friendship Centre designed to promote healthy eating, particularly in families with fewer resources to buy food.

Out of the Cold Shelter

Guests receive access to a safe place to sleep, meals, and laundry facilities. They can also access out Outreach Services that include but are not limited to securing housing, obtaining identification, cultural support, and referrals to other community agencies.

Outreach Support Services Initiative

Supporting youth that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless through education, training, employment, and skill development.

Circle of Life

Exploring, developing and implementing strategies in Sagitawa Friendship Society where the cancer care journey is self-determined by Indigenous peoples living in Peace River and surrounding communities in which health care access is equitable and culturally safe.

Social Enterprises

Learn about our Hide'n Seek Handicraft Store, one of the many hidden treasures of the Peace Country located in the Sagitawa Friendship Centre, and Golf World on the Peace, operated as part of Sagitawa’s Youth Employment Program.

Ground Level Youth Centre

On-going after school programming in a safe and inclusive environment providing opportunities for skill building, personal development, and collective responsibilities.
